Within the hushed Cathedral of Silence the Orrians keep faith with Grenth, god of death and ice, who gathers the souls of the departed and weighs them in the cold halls beyond. Though stern, he is not cruel, and the Orrians — a people much occupied with the next world — hold his rites in particular esteem. Speak softly in his house, and leave an offering of frost-white flowers for those who have gone before.
